On January 15, a ceremonial award presentation for the second edition of the Competition for the Best Thesis in Public Finance, organized by the Institute of Public Finance (IFP), took place at the Senate of the Republic of Poland.
Prof. Paweł Wojciechowski has been appointed as the new President of the Institute of Public Finance (IFP). He succeeds Dr. Sławomir Dudek, the founder and long-standing President of IFP, who as of 1 January has taken up the position of Chair of the Fiscal Council.
The Senate of the Republic of Poland has approved the composition of the country’s first-ever Fiscal Council, an independent body tasked with assessing the stability of public finances and overseeing compliance with fiscal rules. In the vote, senators decided that Sławomir Dudek will assume the role of Chair.
