IFP at the European Congress of Local Governments

“Local government finances in the wake of the economic crisis” – this was the motto of the European Congress of Local Governments in Mikołajki, which was attended by President and Chief Economist of IFP, Dr Sławomir Dudek.

“Local governments have lost due to introduction of the Polish Deal, a reform of tax law. If it hadn’t been for the Polish Deal, these tax revenues would have been higher. Relying on nominal costs is incomparable. The data on tax revenues to the local government must be confronted with the growing costs, which is impressive and shows how local governments have lost on these changes” – said President of Institute of Public Finances during the European Congress of Local Governments in Mikołajki.
