Konrad Walczyk, Ph. D.

Assistant Director of the Research Institute for Economic Development at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). He has been associated with it since he started studying at the Warsaw School of Economics.

He teaches macroeconomics and the theory of taxation. He scientific research focuses  in the field of the theory of taxation and business cycles. Expert in tax policy and economic cycle research. He combines scientific work with practice. In the years 1999-2005 he worked in the Tax System Department at the Ministry of Finance (DSP). He was, among others, Deputy Director of the DSP responsible for developing the system e-Podatki, to digitalize the tax collection; he led the PHARE project Modernization of the tax collection and tax control system. He participated in numerous projects  of the National Science Center and the National Center for Research and Development on tax policy, optimal taxation, effects of taxation and taxpayer behavior.
