Entrepreneur with deep experience in economics and policy. Currently runs a recruitment and talent assessment startup – Gyfted – and an organic growth marketing company SEO Savages. Previously he worked on the state & federal GTM team at OpenGov – the fastest growing govtech company in the US that sold for $2B in 2024.
Earlier, as senior staff member on the advisers team to former President Komorowski he co-authored the in dubio pro tributario rule (Art. 2a Ordynacji Podatkowej), which protects taxpayers vs the state, co-created Poland’s R&D tax credit (Ulga na B+R) and liberalized regulations in higher ed, R&D, employment for foreigners, and procurement in the Innovation Bill. Adviser to the Minister of Privatization – where he helped kick off the privatization of the Warsaw Stock Exchange and a minority stake in Pekao SA. Helped launch BGK’s first investment into the European Investment Fund (EIF). He funded his studies by teaching as TA welfare economics, American economic history, international macroeconomics, and introductory micro- and macro-economics courses at Stanford University’s Economics Department.
Has a background in business development, finance (VC, capital markets) and startups (data, open source, ML/AI, SaaS). Worked in Silicon Valley, the City of London, Cape Town, Poland and also lived in Israel and Austria.
Robert got his MBA and MA degrees at Stanford, and BSc in Economics and Economic History with highest distinction (top 5% of the year) from the London School of Economics. He’s passionate about education, decentralization, Bitcoin, technology, and system design. Married with 3 kids.
