“Recommendations for Poland’s Security” – Expert Panel by the Supreme Audit Office

On June 5, the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) in Warsaw hosted an expert panel organized by the Department of National Defence, bringing together representatives from all major institutions shaping Poland’s security policy.

The goals of the meeting were to identify the key challenges facing the Polish Armed Forces and to foster integration among academic, industrial, and military communities responsible for national security matters.

The expert panel on Poland’s modern defense was held as a closed, substantive meeting, divided into two sessions, each moderated by Michał Pawella, Director of the Department of National Defence at NIK.

The first panel focused on strategic management of national security and the role of the Armed Forces. The second – featuring Dr. Sławomir Dudek – addressed the technical modernization of the Polish Armed Forces.

This session covered challenges facing Poland’s defense industry, procurement policy, the role of the Armament Agency, funding for weapons systems, and the development of research and innovation activities.
