Symbolically — just one day after the International Day for Universal Access to Information —we submitted to the Prime Minister a petition signed by 1,254 individuals in support of a threshold-free Central Register of Contracts (CRC).
Yesterday (September 29), we officially concluded our signature campaign for the petition [petition text] regarding the Central Register of Contracts, handing over the list of signatures to the Prime Minister. A total of 1,254 citizens signed the appeal, clearly expressing their support for full transparency in the spending of public funds.
Prior to delivering the petition, a press conference was held in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. It was attended by representatives of civil society organizations—Citizens Network Watchdog Poland, Pravda Association, the Association of Dead Statutes—as well as a local government representative. All emphasized that transparency of public contracts is a cornerstone of public trust and a democratic state.

“The right to information means the proactive disclosure of information by the State,”
reminded Marzena Błaszczyk from Citizens Network Watchdog Poland at the start of the conference.
“97% of Poles support full transparency—full access to contracts funded with public money,”
stressed Patrycja Satora from the Institute of Public Finance.
“As a fact-checking organization, we fight every day to ensure people have access to reliable information—having a threshold-free Central Register of Contracts is crucial to us,”
said Maja Jeśmanowicz-Mierzejewska from Pravda Association.
“If we want to rebuild trust in local government, we must start with full transparency of spending,”
appealed Konrad Tkaczyk, councilor of the Lesznowola Municipality, during the press conference.
